I love Mungo. He's such a buffoon and he's cool to draw. Really nice and simple structure but everything you need to express, and I love playing with his 'fingery' wings. So these sketches were a warm up when I first started on Digby Dragon and just getting to know the characters. I only had a 45 second piece of animation to go by at that stage but now we're on series 2 there's plenty of reference material should I need! While it's important that the characters are proportionally 'on model', it's as important to be able to draw them super fast, so developing a 'shorthand' version can help massively (and especially when you may have 900 frames to draw in the episode..!)
